Welcome to Fair Weather Farm at Fairhill your community farm in Cecil County, Maryland
Founded in 2008, Fair Weather Farm at Fairhill, is a family owned and operated USDA Certified Organic Farm in Cecil County, Maryland. We have been supplying individuals and families with the finest certified organic produce for years.
Farming to us is more than simply growing a sustainable crop, but it's also the responsibility of safeguarding the integrity of the land and its natural resources. Our family’s desire is to be good stewards of the land for future generations.
We also believe we have a social responsibility in educating our community in growing, harvesting & preserving sustainable grown foods to those who want to learn a healthier lifestyle. From our family to yours, we invite you to enjoy our delicious home-grown produce through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
CSA: Community Supported Agriculture.
It's a mutually beneficial relationship between farmers and the community in which participants provide funding for the farmer in advance of the growing season in exchange for produce during the growing season. Your pre-season payment will include a weekly bounty of fresh produce based on our harvest cycle, monthly newsletters and fabulous recipes.
We're offering a delicious assortment of vegetables jam-packed full of nutrients. From a bounty of fresh-leafy greens to a variety of colorful root crops.
Our 2016 CSA Summer / Fall Season will begin June 1st and run for 7 weeks through mid-July. You will see quite a variety of Greens and Herbs, along with some Fruits, Beans and our summer favorites like Summer Squash, Peppers, Cucumbers, Heirloom Tomatoes & Zucchini. We'll tend to our gardens from mid July thru mid Sept allowing our soil & crops to regenerate, grow and prepare to be harvested again. Come the Fall Season, which runs weekly for 10 weeks mid Sept thru mid Nov, you will see a bounty of dark leafy greens like Kale and more rooted crops like potatoes, radishes & beets.
