Mindful - Gentle Hatha Yoga

Mindful Yoga is a mindfulness or awareness-based practice within which we are encouraged and guided to access and develop the natural skills of our mind (such as awareness, attention, and concentration). By attending to the simple but profound experiences of our breath, our body, our thoughts, and our emotions we are better able to access our own wisdom as we address the reality of daily life and respond to its challenges from a place of inner and outer balance and stability.

Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites. In our physical bodies we develop a balance of strength.

This is our summer fundraising event to benefit Watkins Farm For Our Future which is a non-profit set up to raise money to bring awareness to the public, especially children on the importance of growing, harvesting, preparing, preserving and eating locally grown, pesticide and herbicide free fruits and vegetables. It also allows children the opportunity to come learn and explore a working farm, understand the value of farm animals and educate on safeguarding our natural resources.

Come out and spend an afternoon listening to some great local talent of musicians on a farm setting. Pack some chairs, a blanket and bring a picnic* to enjoy on the grass, tour the farm and visit the animals.
